Internet Evangelism is a ministry that requires passion and dedication - not just technical skills. And, with the changing face of Internet and email communication, sharing Christ online now also requires a working knowledge of how current Internet legal issues and privacy policies affect ministry online.

Recognizing the importance of legal matters to Internet Evangelism practitioners, the Internet Evangelism Coalition annual meeting September 14-15 in Chicago will feature an attorney who specializes in intellectual property rights and other Internet legal questions. In addition, participants will learn more about a new international Internet Evangelism network, how to use the Internet and computers in effective cross-cultural ministry, and the role of technology in sharing the gospel around the world especially to those who have never heard the name of Jesus.

Speakers include:

Tom McThenia
Attorney
Intellectual Property Rights and important Internet legal topics.

Walt Wilson
President of Palo Alto Research Group and author of The Internet Church

A strategic review of future technologies for fulfilling the Great Commission.

Karen Schenk
Managing Director of TruthMedia Internet Group

Harnessing the potential of anonymity on the Internet for ministry.

John Edmiston
Chairman and CEO of Asian Internet Bible Institute and Cybermissions.org

Using Internet cafes and computers to share the gospel across cultural and religious barriers.

Dave Hackett
Associate Director of visionSynergy
Advancing global Internet evangelism by networking non-English web evangelism pioneers.

Allan Beeber
Director WorldLINC, Campus Crusade for Christ

The potential of a new Ministry Response Center called ARC/ASSIST and the opportunities it offers for evangelism.

Debra Brown
President and CEO of Brown Governance

An update on IEC Online Training for Online Evangelists and certificates of completion that will be available soon for those who complete the course.

Worship will be led by At the Porch Ministries.

In addition to the main sessions, participants will have ample time to network and learn from one another. Coffee breaks and meal times will give participants the opportunity to communicate their heart and vision for online evangelism, and hear from others who share their enthusiasm.

The IEC Annual Meeting precedes the Gospel Communications Alliance meeting - GospelCon 2005 - a meeting for GospelCom Alliance members.
